Free Movie Night
A movie doesn't have to be overtly "Christian" to have spiritual themes. Who would have guessed that a comic book movie like Spider-Man 3 would have such themes as forgiveness, temptation, pride, and revenge? Maybe it's not so surprising after all. Good movies tell good stories, and good stories often deal with the big themes of life like good versus evil.

Each month First Presbyterian Church will show what we call a "good discussion movie," a movie that deals with the big themes of life. Some months the movie will be geared toward adults, and some months toward families. We'll play it on the "big screen," we'll share a couple of thought-provoking questions at the beginning, and we'll even throw in some free popcorn and pop. What more could you ask for on a Saturday night?

The next Movie Night is Saturday, March 27 at 7pm after our youth fundraiser Soup Supper. We'll show "Amazing Grace" the true story of William Wilberforce, who lead the fight to abolish the British slave trade in the late 18th century.
